Located at Cambridge Industrial Precinct, about 15 kilometres from Hobart’s CBD, the state-of-the-art Cambridge facility was constructed in 2015, cost around $7 million to build and accommodates approximately 140 full time employees, as well as over 90 vehicles.
Located in the Cambridge industrial precinct, the facility offers increased areas for office space, staff amenities, parking and maintenance workshop. In keeping with Veolia’s commitment to continual improvement of environmental and safety performance, the site also boasts state-of-the-art environmental management systems covering both storm-water and sewer discharges, as well as a fully compliant “quarantine wash” facility.
Veolia’s former Group General Manager for Tasmania, Mr. Simon Tori, said the purpose-built facility was a response to the new opportunities that arose around the State across water, waste and energy.
For over 30 years Veolia has been providing environmental services across the State. There are significant opportunities for our business in Tasmania, where sustainable approaches to water, waste and energy are front of mind. For Veolia, our new facility reflects our commitment to continue providing leading environmental and social outcomes to both industry and the community for many years to come.
