Industrial Contract Management

For any given industrial services contract, Veolia assumes responsibility of planning out the activities and scope of works in their entirety, unless instructed otherwise.

The planning will cover each activity or project period and will include such task identifiers as staffing resources, plant and equipment utilisation, selection of materials and specific start/finish dates to meet contract objectives and intermediate milestones.

Is there a single point of contact onsite as part of Veolia’s contract management model?

Yes, for all onsite works, Veolia allocates a contract manager, who will be familiar with the specifications and parameters which affect the works and will establish any inspection and test plans or performance review as required to meet the specification requirements.

The contract manager will plan the resources to be engaged to meet the administrative, quality and time requirements of the works. S/he will also regularly review and report on the project performance against expected performance, and the frequency of review will be sufficient to ensure quality expectations are achieved.

Does Veolia subcontract services and/or procure new equipment as part of its contract management model?

This is highly dependent on the scope of works and other factors such as Indigenous employment targets and geo-location.

If external parties are to be involved, Veolia has strict processes in place to ensure all purchases of materials, equipment and services are made from approved suppliers and subcontractors. The approval of all materials and subcontractors for the contract will be based on conformance to Veolia and client specifications, and the suitability or acceptance will be verified upon receipt of a product when it is checked for conformity to requirements.

Selection of suppliers and/or subcontractors will be based on the Veolia specified standard, and all selected parties will have to satisfy our criteria.  Veolia has developed a system for monitoring subcontractor performance, and Veolia requirements are issued to all subcontractors.
