Whyalla Kerbside Collections and Resources and Waste Transfer Station
Whyalla Waste and Resources Transfer Station
Construction on the $7m purpose-built Waste and Resources Transfer Station commenced in September 2019. The new Transfer Station is designed to improve material segregation and landfill diversion by recovering materials more efficiently. It will also ensure the safe and compliant treatment of waste and recyclables generated within the local region. The build of the new waste transfer facility means the closure of the Mount Laura Waste and Resource Recovery Centre (landfill site)
Gate Rate Pricing
It is FREE for residents to dispose of cardboard, metals, car batteries and engine oil, as long as the material is uncontaminated. Fees apply for all other materials and can be found below. Contaminated material will be charged as general waste.
