Veolia and SUEZ
reach historical agreement
Global entities SUEZ S.A and Veolia Environnement S.A reached an agreement in 2021 to merge operations in several countries around the world. This has been a Global project, bringing together over 220,000 employees worldwide. With the transaction now complete, our teams have begun to combine around the globe. This included the former SUEZ Recycling and Recovery operations being acquired by Veolia in Australia. After many months of regulatory reviews and hard work, we have commenced the integration of our two businesses locally.
What does this mean?
The merger between Veolia and SUEZ means that complementary skills from both teams will come together to enable even greater possibilities for our customers, and the planet. Veolia warmly welcomes our new customers, together with our new colleagues, who bring a wealth of skills and expertise to our newly combined team. For existing customers, there will be no changes to the way we interact with you. Our customers will continue to receive the same reliable, high quality service and level of commitment from Veolia that they have come to rely upon.
With a combined team of close to 6,000 passionate and committed individuals across Australia and New Zealand, we are excited to bring the strengths of our companies together to create a global champion of ecological transformation. We now have an even greater geographical footprint and a bolstered offering in waste and resource recovery, particularly in soil remediation and treatment, recycling, transfer stations and organics treatment. That means we can now offer customers access to an ever broader range of services and new innovations to help you achieve improved environmental performance.
