Talisman Sabre 2021 is the largest bilateral combined training activity between the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and United States (US) military. Approximately 17,000 military personnel from seven international partner nations participated on land, air and sea.
The scale of this event required a coordinated and precise delivery of waste management services, catering to the wide geography of the exercise across 3 states and ADF sites.
Veolia supported the exercise through the provision of critical support services, including waste and recycling services, portaloos, showers, hazardous waste management, generators and sanitary disposal. Over 450 tonnes of waste and recycling materials were collected and treated through the exercise.
Veolia’s commitment to innovation extended to the provision of support staff and a digital waste reporting platform that consolidated data and provided analysis on the exercise’s environmental impact.
