Veolia delivers enhanced digital reporting capability

Veolia Australia and New Zealand has joined forces with technology provider Envizi to focus on delivering an innovative reporting solution and platform for our customers across their waste and recycling activities.

The partnering of bottom line-savings with positive sustainability outcomes is an increasing focus for Veolia’s customers. To achieve this optimal environmental performance, it is essential that Veolia provides the meaningful management information that can help our customers better understand and positively impact their own performance.

As the operational provider of waste collection and recycling services to some 60,000 clients, our partnership with software provider Envizi creates an innovative step in the right direction to empower our customers with key metrics which include total spend, waste diversion and intensity data, in near-real time; An offering which is unlike anything in the market for waste customers across Australia today.

Executive General Manager, Strategy & CIO at Veolia Australia and New Zealand, William Payne stated:

Today, data is woven into almost every aspect of business management - turning insights into action and implementing subsequent performance improvements are known challenges for all business sectors in Australia.  With this strategic partnership, we are uniting the independent tools that clients need to visualise their data with Veolia’s operational expertise to execute on proactive decision-making around environmental performance to drive continuous improvement.

CEO of Envizi David Solsky echoed Veolia’s excitement:

The future of sustainability management is data-driven, and companies who seize the opportunity early can make significant financial gains and create competitive advantage.  Veolia’s vision and leadership in this rapidly changing landscape will add significant value to their clients; we are excited to be working with them on this initiative.

Veolia sees that industry sectors such as healthcare, retail/commercial buildings, and food and beverage manufacturers will most benefit from having access to data which not only provides insight into their waste generation and disposal outcomes, but more so, can track against their own industry and operational performance metrics. Further, the platform, which is well known for its energy and water data management and analytics capability, can grow with Veolia’s customers who are seeking a holistic environmental performance tool.
