Drain Cleaning & High Pressure Jetting

Keep Your Water Network Free From Blockages and Operating as it Should

Blockages, deposits and root intrusion reduce the capacity of your network and increase the risk of overflows and asset deterioration. Veolia's drain cleaning and high pressure water jetting services restore flow, remove build-up and keep critical infrastructure operating as it should.

From routine planned cleaning to emergency blockage response, our crews and equipment are equipped to clean everything from small reticulation sewers to large trunk mains and overflow structures.

What is High Pressure Water Jetting (Hydro Water Jetting)?

High pressure water jetting (also called hydro jetting or jet cleaning) uses precisely controlled high-pressure water delivered through specialist nozzles to break up and flush away blockages, fats, silt, grit, scale and root intrusion from inside a pipe. Different nozzle configurations allow crews to cut roots, scour pipe walls and propel debris back to a collection point.

Because it relies on water rather than mechanical cutting alone, jetting cleans the full internal circumference of the pipe without the excavation and disruption of dig-and-replace methods. It is the standard approach for restoring hydraulic capacity and preparing pipes for CCTV inspection or relining.

What is the difference between jetting and mechanical cleaning?

Jetting uses high-pressure water to clean the full internal surface of the pipe and flush debris away, while mechanical methods rely on cutting tools. Jetting is generally faster, cleans more thoroughly and prepares pipes well for inspection or relining. We also carry out root cutting and manual cleaning where required.

Can you clear emergency blockages?

Yes. We provide responsive maintenance for emergency blockage clearing across gravity pipes, sewers and overflow structures to restore flow and reduce the risk of overflows.

Do you clean pump station wet wells?

Yes. We clean pump station wet wells, screens and screen wells, including ad hoc wet well cleaning as required.

Should pipes be cleaned before a CCTV inspection?

Usually, yes. Cleaning removes deposits and debris so the camera can capture an accurate view of the pipe wall and any structural defects. We can combine cleaning and inspection in a single mobilisation.

What types of pipes can you clean?

We clean reticulation sewers, trunk sewers, stormwater overflow pipes, GPTs, grit collector maintenance holes and emergency relief overflow structures, among others.
