Our Port Botany Transfer Station is located on Military Road, Matraville, NSW. This facility can process up to 200,000 tonnes of Class 2 waste per annum, currently receiving 100,000 tonnes per annum. The facility also recovers cardboard, plastics and steel.
Site layout
The facility is located on an area of 10,000 square metres. The Transfer Station building is 30 metres x 40 metres and 10 metres high. The waste is then loaded into 90 cubic metre walking floor trailers using a front end loader. The building can receive and unload two vehicles at a time with a turn around of 8 minutes from the time the vehicle enters the site to the time it drives out the gate.
FOGO Services Now Available at Port Botany
Veolia's Port Botany Transfer Station is now officially licensed to accept Food Organics & Garden Organics (FOGO), providing a convenient solution for local councils across Sydney's East and South.
Our facility reduces travel time and operational costs for local councils, with extended operating hours offering greater flexibility. We're already helping councils streamline their organic waste management operations.
Garden organics received at Port Botany is processed at our Eastern Creek facility and transformed into nutrient-rich compost. Food organics is sent to a separate site for processing.
