Veolia's acquisition of Orontide enhances its offering to the industrial sector with high tech services. The merger will see Veolia gain more than 250 highly skilled employees, which will streamline operations, optimise maintenance schedules, and expand the reach of both companies into new industry sectors.

Veolia is now positioned as a leading industrial service provider for Western Australia. This strategic union diversifies Veolia's portfolio, opens new avenues for service delivery to existing and new clients, and creates a one-stop-shop for an extensive range of technical services.

Veolia ANZ is proud to announce the acquisition of Orontide, a leading engineering and asset maintenance service provider in Western Australia, as part of Veolia’s global GreenUp strategy that has marked Australia as a key country for investment and expansion.

This strategic move significantly enhances Veolia's industrial service capabilities, integrating Orontide's specialised services in machining, fabrication, fitting and assembly, and asset preservation with Veolia's global leadership in environmental solutions.

Orontide, with its 45-year legacy in engineering services and a strong presence in the mining, maritime, and oil & gas sectors, brings a wealth of expertise to Veolia's operations. The acquisition will mark a new chapter for both companies. Veolia's Industrial & Energy Division, already well-established in Western Australia with over 700 employees, will now have access to Orontide's more than 250 skilled professionals, state-of-the-art technology and extensive workshop facilities.

“We are really excited about what this offers to the industry, by combining Veolia and Orontide making both companies stronger and expanding their market reach into new sectors and offering a one-stop-shop for an extensive range of technical services,” said Veolia Managing Director and CEO Richard Kirkman.

“It combines Veolia's market-leading industrial cleaning and refractories management expertise with Orontide's specialised engineering and fabrication capabilities, so we can now deliver a seamless, end-to-end service that maximises efficiency, reduces costs, and extends asset life.”

This acquisition is a testament to Veolia's commitment to delivering comprehensive industrial solutions. It adds five new sites to Veolia’s operations at Henderson, Port Hedland and Bunbury. The full integration and expansion will occur with no interruption to existing services.

The expanded capabilities will not only broaden Veolia's service offering, but also position the company as a leading integrated industrial service provider in Western Australia. This strategic union diversifies Veolia's portfolio, and opens new avenues for service delivery to existing and new clients.

“We love it when Veolia creates new capability to delight our customers with innovation, performance and efficiency. It’s what they want from us, and this enables us to extend our capacity and deliver bespoke on-site asset maintenance solutions, combining capabilities of both companies,” said Kirkman.

“Our clients can expect enhanced tailored maintenance programs, rapid response times, and comprehensive support for their industrial projects as we set out on this combined venture.”
