In a collaborative effort to address council sustainability, 13 councils from the Southern and Northern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (NSROC and SSROC) have partnered with Veolia to tackle the pressing issue of household waste management.

The cutting-edge Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) facility, located 250km south of Sydney near Goulburn, combines Veolia's global expertise in operating Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities with innovative technology to deliver a truly unique waste management solution. By leveraging Veolia's longstanding experience and advanced capabilities, these Sydney councils are empowered to drastically reduce the amount of household waste sent to landfills, providing a sustainable long-term solution aligned with council sustainability goals.

Through this partnership, Veolia enables local councils to take a proactive stance in promoting environmental sustainability within their communities.
